Havilah Children’s Home: A Christmas Story

When we were kids, Christmas was pure magic. It wasn’t just about the gifts (though we loved those too); it was about the togetherness, the stories shared over chapatti and goat meat, and the laughter that filled our homes. Christmas wasn’t just a date on the calendar—it was a feeling, a sense of belonging.

This year, we wanted to spread that same warmth and joy to the children at Havilah Children’s Home. This incredible place is more than just a shelter; it’s a second home for children who need love and care. We didn’t just want to make their Christmas special—we wanted to make a lasting impact.

As part of TeleSky’s mission to bridge the digital divide, we donated computers and helped set up a new computer lab at the home. The joy on the children’s faces when they saw their new lab was unforgettable. For many of them, this was their first real step into the digital world, and we were thrilled to be a part of that journey.

Of course, Christmas isn’t Christmas without a bit of holiday cheer. Our team brought gifts—carefully chosen toys, books, and clothes for every child. Seeing their eyes light up as they opened their presents was the highlight of our day. It reminded us that even small gestures can mean the world to someone else.

Our TeleSky team poured their hearts into making this visit a success. Many of our employees volunteered their time to help set up the lab, wrap gifts, and make sure every child felt special. It was a day that brought us closer as a team and as a community.

Looking back on our visit, we’re reminded of why we do what we do. Yes, we donated computers and brought gifts, but more than that, we brought hope. We’re not just here for one Christmas; we’re here for the long game—ensuring these kids have the tools they need to succeed, not just today but in the future. And that’s a feeling we’ll carry with us, long after the holiday lights come down.
